The use of Molkolac®Instant and Lactose in food products covers a wide range: from rounding off the
flavour of sweets and improving solubility in instant drinks
through to flavour enhancement in cold meat products.
Lactose is an ideal carrier of energy, high
in physiological value. It can also be used as a mild sweetener
compared to sucrose. Lactulose promotes the growth of bifido bacteria
and stimulates the metabolic activity. As a drug it is used
in the treatment of encephalopathy and liver disease. Lactulose
is used in feed products as a prebiotic.
